31\'s

Will a 31x10.50 fit on the stock 15x5.5" wheels? My 235's are starting to wear out on my ranger and I want a meaty tire, but cant afford 15x8 rims right now..

Re: 31\'s

I thought stock was 15x7's? from what I've seen, most 10.5 will fit on 8-9 in wide rims

Re: 31\'s

Based on his signature I'm guessing that he has a Ford Ranger, not a Bronco. The Rangers came with skinnier rims.

Re: 31\'s

Yep, the ranger's my toy, the others are the trucks I like to beat, epsecially the F-150. Is 5.5" wide wheel to narrow for the 10.50" wide tire to seat on properly, or will it work ok but just look funny from the sidewalls bulging. I got 2"lift springs on it so Im not worried about tire clearance.

Re: 31\'s

My buddy has 31x10.50's on his Ranger (stock rims) they wear a bit in the center, but he hasen't had any other problems. He beats the living s*#t out of that poor truck. The tires rub at full lock, but nothing major (with 3" body).
A 10.5" tire calls for a 7-9" rim. 5.5" is pushing it, but it works for him.

Hit? Them tires rub. Rubbin's off roadin.

Re: 31\'s

Hey 88blazer, where do the tires on your buddy's truck rub, on the frame & radius arm from not enough backspacing, or on the fenders/body from not enough lift? Thanks.

Re: 31\'s

It rubs on the frame and/or radius arms. I never looked to see where it rubs. His springs are sagging pretty bad now and still doesn't rub the body. BTW, it's a '90 or 91 so it would be the same as yours.

If I remember, I'll gets some pics from him when I go home for Christmas break and post them on my web site.

Re: 31\'s

Oh ya, my brother-in-law had an early '90's Ranger with 2" spacers, 3" body, and 32's. I'll get some info from him over break if you want.
