Rear Bronco Bumpers Suck!!!

anyone else out there agree with me that the bumper on a fullsize bronc is way to low??? it hangs below the body a good three inches. i have a 4" lift and 35's and Z71 rear bumpers still have higher clearance than mine. if anyone out there has a nice in-set bumper, let me know how you got it or fabbed it. thanks

Re: Rear Bronco Bumpers Suck!!!

Try adding a 2" body lift...my Bronco looks like it's dragging it's ass even with the 4" suspension lift. That's why I'm looking for a good aftermarket tubular bumper. I figure I can modify it and have it mount higher.

Re: Rear Bronco Bumpers Suck!!!

Ya, those bumpers do hang a little low. I seen in a mag where they fab'd up some brackets and was able to lift the bumper up a inch or two. Havnt tried to do it yet though but it does look feasible.

Re: Rear Bronco Bumpers Suck!!!

yeah,
smittybuilt makes the brackets for their bumpers, that I'm sure will fit other makes
my solution of this will be getting a roll pan with a license plate frame, with a dual smittybuilt tubular bumper with the upper mid section cut out of the top bumper to make way for the license plate
