Question e4od rebuild questions

Backstory:
For a while now I've had an issue when shifting into reverse and something choking/stopping the motor unless I give it quite a bit of gas to keep it idling. After about 15-20 seconds of this, it would finally let up and run fine until the next time I shifted into reverse. It eventually got worse to the point that any time I slowed down in reverse, it would start doing that again. Then it got to the point it was doing it in drive as well. I finally got around to taking it to a dealer and they diagnosed it with the clutches being pretty well gone and the tranny was seizing up.

Question 1:
When shopping around for rebuilt transmissions, is there a difference in 2wd E4ODs and 4wd E4ODs or are they the same?

Question 2:
Autozone sells Proformance and ETX transmissions with 3 year warranties. Has anyone had any experience with either of these brands?

Question 3:
Is there anything else to watch out for when purchasing a rebuilt transmission?
