i have a 91 bronco with the e4od tranny. sometimes when i put it in drive from park the tranny doesn't drop into gear. maybe 5 minute or maybe 20 minutes pass before all of a sudden it engages. i've always kept up on changing the tranny fluid and filter. could this be a computer problem since the tranny is electronically controlled? how can i verify this? i don't want some tranny shop to just swap out the tranny when it may be something else? can anyone help me out with some ideas here? thanks

Re: e4od

How many miles are on the truck? I'm guessing maybe the clutches could be shot but it's just a guess. I'm no auto expert. I'm pretty much just bolt it up and go with trannys
