rear woes

OK so My rear axle is toasted. Im looking to get one from the local boneyard, I have 2 options at hand they have a 89 and a 90 bronco with the same gear ratio BUT it has a different style rear While Mine just has the yoke that the U-joints bolt to both of these have the Flange style Rear IF i get one of these rears Would i need the driveshaft also and would it fit my transmission (both are AOD's)

I have an 88Xlt 5.0 AOD D44 Front 8.8 Rear 3.55's 32x11.5x15

Any help is Welcomed
Thanks again guys/girls

Re: rear woes

I would take a tape measure to everything and compare each truck. I would measure the driveshaft length first, then check the distance from the middle of the axle tube to where it meets the drive shaft. Check the transmission tag and see what it says and compare that with what you have. I would think they would be the same tranny but you could take a picture with you and compare. You get the idea yet?

Option 2 would be to ask the boneyard if it doesn't fit, can you bring it back and you can check everything when you get it to your Bronco.

Let us know what you have done.
