I have soldered several, but there was a differant fix that I tried successfully when working at the dealer. You clean the area thoroughly and rough up part of the large defroster tracts. Then you epoxy the tabs back onto the glass and paint over the area with a metal filled defroster touch up paint blending the tab into the tract. I guess this touch up is still available at parts stores. It was a metallic copper looking paint in a very tiny bottle. Look around. I've gotten the back glass for $110 new from a local wholesaler.
