Stuck u joint

Was changing the u joints today, on the rear one i cant get the clip out of the yoke. I busted a little of it off trying to grab it with a vice grip. Any easy ideas or shoud i just get out the torch and cut the cross part?

Re: Stuck u joint

If you can get the opposite side off just press it through.

Re: Stuck u joint

You could try pressing in on the side with the clip alittle to take off any tension that may be against it.

Re: Stuck u joint

The ones on my D60 were rusted real good. I ended up cutting the center out with a torch and beating the **** out of the caps. I'm sure PB blaster could have helped as well.
