Help with installing new locking hubs

I am in the middle of changeing out my old noworking manual locking hubs for a new set. I have got the passenger side done. But when I went to do the driver side the guts wont go in far enough to allow the retaining ring to drop into the ring slot.

Am I missing something ????

Any help will be great.

Thanks

Re: Help with installing new locking hubs

Maybe too much grease in there? Or bent hub housing. JMO-Bob

Could the axle shaft have slidden out some?
