Under Dash Fire

I am new to Broncos, I just finished (well it's never really finished) a build up of my Jeep TJ and needed a new project. I have very recently bought a 86 Bronco from a family member real cheep. It's a Florida truck with a new re-man engine. However it had an under dash electrical fire and doesn't run. I haven't had a chance to even look at it, as it is currently being shipped up from Florida.

Considering its age, I want to replace the entire wiring harness. I have looked extensivly and can not find a shop that has the harness available. Any suggetions? Maybe I just need to figure out what happend and try to fix the burned up wires. I'm just afraid the fire did too much damage.

Also, is there any good source for interior parts?

Re: Under Dash Fire

junk yard is the best place. You didn't mention the year but there is year bands that the wiring will virtually swap with minor adjustments. Truck and bronco is close except the tailgate/spare tank.

try jeff's bronco graveyard if it is still arround... If not go painless

Re: Under Dash Fire

What do you intend to use it for? If it's a primary wheeler then I'd just wire up what you need.
