Overdrive Problem

I have an 85 F150 XLTLariat 302/2 barrel vin "F" with the AOD trans. The tailgate has the "Overdrive" emblem on it and the trans pan is stamped with "Automatic Overdrive Metric Ford". My question is can the torque converter be drained via the trans cooling lines to the radiator, and if so which line do I open to drain, and how exactly do I drain it. Meaning do I crack the line open and start the truck letting it drain while filling through the dipstick tube???
Thanks in Advance,
Mike

Re: Overdrive Problem

The AOD has a drain plug ON the converter itself, why not just pull the inspection cover on the bellhousing and rotate converter till the plug is in the down position and do it the normal way?

works for me
