Dead Bronc! HELP!
Drove my '93 home a couple of days ago, shut it off, went into the house to get something, got back in truck, and it wouldn't restart. I got a couple of cranks before it acted like the battery was dead. So far I have had the battery and starter tested, which both were good. I replaced the fender mounted solenoid, still dead. I pulled the starter and tried to kick it over once, nothing. All I am getting are some loud clicks from under the hood. Sorry I can't be more specific, but there's only one of me so I can't be under the hood to isolate the clicks. Tried to jump the fender solenoid to see if I could isolate click, sounded like it was somewhere lower and aft of the solenoid, but I don't know. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on what has possessed my normally dependable Bronco? All help is appreciated, I'm going nuts.

Re: Dead Bronc! HELP!
Try looking for a bad ground or ground wire off in that area. I just fixed a 1986 bronco with the same problem and it turned out to be a ground wire was off. Use a DVOM (digital volt ohm meter) and test from the battery positive to the engine block, while having it set at VDC and see if you have 12.0 to 12.6 volts.
