Well after all the work of getting it road worthy, it overheated on our camping trip, pulled over and swapped the radiator(had an extra one with me) got back on the road, got about 30 miles down the road and, there goes the timing chain, I've replaced timing belts and chains on prob 6 or so different engines, anything I should expect to give me trouble on the 302???
nope not realy, only thing that may give you greif is the timing cover. might be eatten away, and after ya pull it may be hard to seal back up. On the long bolt through the water pump and timing cover(4), use a wrench work them slow squirt some penitrent oil work'm agian. they may be rusted down in diameter and break.
