Spare Tire Key?
Hi all. Someone tried to rip off the spare from my 1980 a few days ago. The POS didn't get it cause of the lock on it. Here's the thing. It's a Ford lock. It says Ford on it. Which is cool. But when I bought the truck a few years ago, I didn't get a key for it. Is there one somewhere in the truck, like the jack or something? The owner's manual didn't say anything about a lock...
And a second question if I must. My truck runs like a baby but twice in the past 4 months has just sputtered and died. It's running way too rich. The first time was a small rock in the seat/needle assembly. How it got there, I'll never know. After having that removed, it ran great. Until it happened again. I'm going to take it back to my shop, but I'll bet for sure something is jammed in the carb. How can this happen? The filters are good. Shouldn't this keep these things out, or could there be something else going on here?
As always, I defer to your expert knowledge.
