Steering wheel play

I've noticed that as my truck has aged, the steering has become looser. Is there a way to tighten it back up, or do I have to replace the steering box and/or other parts? TIA

Re: Steering wheel play

You can take some of the play out by tightening the sector shaft adjusting screw on top of the box but first determine the exact source of the play: is it worn out tie-rod ends, brand new TRW sloppy rod -ends from the Zone, play in the output shaft bearings or steering linkage.
