Lifting the Truck...What else do I need???

Ok, probably orderign the Rancho 4" kit at the end of the month. It comes with all the brackets, hardware, radius arms, etc. I am also ordering shocks and a steering stabilizer seperatly.

My question is, what else, if anything, should I need? Some say extended brake hoses, and alot of people say they replace tie rods at the same time. What have you guys run into as far as replacing with and/or adding to a lift kit?

You need a drop pitman arm. The kit should come with it. Other than that everything else will work stock. Superrunner steering is worth looking into but it's expensive. Have you considered swapping to a solid D44 front axle. You may be surprised when doing a price comparison.

Re: Lifting the Truck...What else do I need???

I have the Rancho kit on my bronco and it works really well with 35" tires on it. However I have outgrown it and just does not flex well enough to satisfy me, so I agree with norm, consider the solid axle swap, it just might be worth the extra money for the performance and strength you gain. Not to mention you can not keep a TTB front end aligned with big tires on it, every one of my tires is worn sideways from the front end.

I want to say that I saw a place, on the internet, called Job-rite. They're out of Canada. They sell the complete axle swap kit for the straight axle. That's what I'm saving up for.

The Rancho 4' kit is $1300. No shocks, brake lines, etc.
