hub question...

hey guys, im back, long time whithout visiting the forum.

got a question about warn manual hubs. i finnally removed my 3 hole auto hubs, and replace it whit warn standart manual hubs, i know that everyone/evewhere says that i need the spindle nut conversion kit to use those hubs, but i installed them perfectly, sure, i could put the small retainig ring, is it gonna bring me any trouble later?, it works fine, anyway, i dont use frecuently the 4x4...

(need to practice my english again, im forgotting everything, sorry about any missunderstood)

Re: hub question...

You need the conversion kit based on the year of your truck...your 1995 should have required the conversion. The stock hubs do not use the lock-nut system (preload nut>keyed washer>lock nut) needed with the manuals. If your Warns came with the lock-nut system, you should be ok.

Re: hub question...

Hello,
My used 95 XL came with Warn manual hubs instead of the dreaded auto hubs; was this a stock setup?

Re: hub question...

Not stock...I believe after 92 every F-150 and Bronco, regardless of options came with auto hubs

Re: hub question...

Well if Warn says you need it, then you should probably get it. Will end up saving u alot of time in the future becuase you dont have to replace all the parts would scewed up without the conversion kit.
