A 1990 extended cab F250 lariat, 5.8 with dual exhaust a tow hitch and some other goodies. 450 bucks and drove it home, after parking it decided it didnt like reverse to much, so I looked into forking up some cash to rebuild it, turns out of course its an E40d and gonna cost an arm and a leg, I could get a rebuilt C6 for 225 so I was wondering could I replace the 40d with the C6?

Re: Scored!

Someone else just asked a similar question. I don't think switching to a C6 will pose any problems. The only problem I can think of would be the computer. Put the tranny in and see how it works. If there seems to be computer issues then pull one off of a manual trans truck and your problem should be solved. As far as tranny's go. The C6 is tits.
