torque converter

Well my friend was in a wreck and his camaro was in a ditch so i came in my 92' bronco and i was trying to use tow straps to get him out and when i put my bronco into gear and locked the hubs then put it into 4x4 i gassed it a little he was in revers and his tires were spinning and so i floored it and nothing happened he didnt moove and i know my bronco should be able to pull a freakin camaro so i was wondering if maybe the torque converter was to blame?

Re: torque converter

What gearing were you using. Did you shift down into 4 low? Nice and steady wins the race with that kind of stuff. Flooring it will destroy yon little Camarro's undercariage.
