tires w/o loosing h/p and torque

Hey right now i have a stock 92' ford bronco and i was wonder if i lifted it 4" how much bigger should i make the wheels without loosing alot of power with my stock 302 engine? Im looking for some good tires that do as well off road as they do on road. And im also looking for some good performance upgrades if you know where i can get some of those that would help to thanks.

You can fit 33s stock with some rubbing. 32s will fit without and won't cause your power to suffer too much. A 4" lift can accomodate 35's. If you plan on going this route it's probably a good idea to regear. 4.11s are a good gear for 33's and 35's. 4.56s give you a bit more power but you will lose on the top end. Start using the search engine and read everything on lifts, regearing, lockers, that you can find. Click here
for another good source of information. It's all out there and has been covered many many times.

33s are usable with stock gearing but you will loose a bit of towing capacity and off the line grunt. The perfect gear for 33s would be 3.73 but it doen't seem right to spend so much and get so little. What I would do is ride on 32s until you get the money for the lift. Put the lift on and ride the 32s until you can gear swap. Then go to 35s.....

I would just get some good 31x10.50's they are cheap and will fit with no lift and no problems. Also they won't bog you down very much.

I didn't realize that a 302 had any power to begin with

If you had a 460 your question would be "how do I keep my axles and driveshafts from flying apart when I get on it"

Under extreme turn with compression you will rub a bit.
