New SuperDuty Dana 60

Any else seen the Dana 60 front axles that coem in the 2005 F-450 and F-550? It lookes like a regular D60 except the knuckles are freakin huge! So big that Ford puts front fender flares on the trucks becuase the tires stick out so much further. Who will be the first to swap one of those in?

Re: New SuperDuty Dana 60

I'm gonna have to run by the dealer lot and check this out!

Do they look like this?
<img src=>

AllPro has been building toyota hybrid axles for a couple years now that have those F450 outers on them... massive hardware!

I hope they have improved the design... the older ones have that unit bearing garbage that wears out fast and is $$$ to replace as a whole unit. You can see the retaining nuts for it inside the knuckle near the ujoint.

They are a little bigger than that. They are in the new Petersons. They have some good pics of the new trucks. The 450 looks nice. They also have an off road model that has electronic lockers and rock bumpers. This is a full size long bed truck that they tested in Moab.
