460 swap

I found a 460 with C6 and all accessories in a 79 bronco for $600.
How difficult would it be 2 swap into my 81 bronco with 302 and c6. I know i need the mounts and headers, but do i need anything for the tranny or 2 hook up my transfercase. if you know of any sites or someone who has done this please let me know.

Re: 460 swap

I'm in the final stages of a 460 swap into my '88 that had a 302 and an AOD. Yes you'll need the motor mounts and the headers, but check and make sure the headers will fit your bronco...I have no idea, may be the same; i used L&L's for my year bronco. Another issue you may have that I precluded by going with L&L is the oil pan. You can purchase all of L&L's products by the individual piece so if you find something doesn't fit, you can buy the L&L part that does fit your year model. There shouldn't be any tranny to transfercase issues since I didn't have any going from an AOD to a C6. Good luck. Hopefully I will be able to post some finished photos within a week or two.
