EFI 300 missing

My EFI 300 has a miss at 1500/1800 rpm. Replaced plugs, wires Cap and rotor still does it. The only trouble code I am getting is the on for the EGR valve which it has spit out for the last 5 years. Could my o2 sensor have somthing to do with it? Its never been replaced and I am about to hit 250k. I just hate to go buy one for no reason since they are like $50. Re: EFI 300 missing

I figured it out. Problem with my EGR valve. I pulled the green vac hose off the EGR valve and plugged it. Now it runs smooth with no miss and more power. Only problem being the stupid check engine light stays on.

Re: EFI 300 missing

It sounds like you just bandaided the issue. Check the vacuum relay that goes to the egr for possible replacement.

Re: EFI 300 missing

It never runs better without an EGR

Do like Havack says and replace what's needed. If you get it working again it won't take long to pay for itself in mileage increases.

Re: EFI 300 missing

Well figured out the real problem the hard way. When I was going to leave work last night the stupid thing wouldn't start. Turned out the ignition module was bad. Replaced it hooked the EGR vac line back up and no miss, no check engine light. so far so good.
