F150 Suspension

Can you make a 1/2 ton F150 351 1993 into a 1 ton truck? I can't find anything on new suspensions.

Re: F150 Suspension

yes you can swap in 1 ton running gear and do it that way. this would give you time to regear and do axle mods that u wish. this is all if you are going to be wheeling it. if this is just to haul more then i think u should get a real 1 ton as the frame and suspension of the 1/2 ton wont be suffecient for the hauling aspect. for the suspension you could stay stock in the rear but upgrading rear is a good idea too. the front will definetly have to be changed out to accomidate a real axle(TTB is independent and thats what u have and a real axle is gonna be a solid D60 if the 1 ton is what u r really after.

I guess a big question that should be addressed is what are your intentions to do with the truck becasaue that would lay down a plan of attack to follow to get what u are lookng for.
