Re: mileage questions

Keep it at stock ride height, stock tire size, better intake, better exhaust, keep your foot out of the gas pedal, get rid of hard top (extra weight man!) get fiberglass body, get OD (if you dont have it)...oh, and make sure your engine is running at 100%!

Re: mileage questions

It's the funnest Norm...when we pull in for gas, and you are empty and wondering how come I be at nearly a half tank!

Just wait till you get your big block one day. I hope that day arrives before gas averages $2 a gallon everywhere.

Re: mileage questions

I'm going with FI first. Hopefully that helps make my truck an econocruiser.

Re: mileage questions

You can blow and increase power without much mileage loss. Rational: Power for less dollars in the long run. Trying to get the best mileage is OK, but you're never gonna do well in a 5,000lb.+ bronco. Maybe you could swap in the inline 6. They must get a little better mileage. I'm waiting on the fusion-o-matic like from Back to the Future. Until then do what that dude above wrote. I put a K&N on cheap. The kits are expensive, I just ordered the size filter I needed.

Re: mileage questions

Well, looks like im gonna have a gas sucker. There's no way you can get a bronco without beefing it up. Motor Trend said Broncos get 13 mpg stock but idk. What are all the abbreviations like TTB and OD and all that stuff. I'm not wise to the Bronco slang right now.

Re: mileage questions

The 351 Bronco's will get 13mpg.

TTB=Twin Traction Beam (Ford 4WD truck front suspension 1980-1996)

OD=Overdrive (as in automatic transmission - Ford AOD & E4OD)
