raising coil towers to add flexxxx?

While I was pondering the front shocks I also got to looking at the stock coil towers and it looks like I could almost double my coil length if I slid the coil towers up the frame to where they almost hit the hood! Obviously there would be lots of rearranging in the engine compt and I'd have to reinforce the tower, but if I can stuff twice the coil in there, I should also be able to get twice the droop and stuff as well! Whatcha think? With a body lift i'm pretty sure I could double my spring length or get damn close trying

Re: raising coil towers to add flexxxx?

TTB sucks, you would waste ots of money on the coils.....
no inner fenders suck!
LOTS of reinforcing would be needed to make it not twist the frame
the rad arm is still gonn asevberly limit it, as its hard mounted to the beam, and its going to need to twist some i think to get that much flex out of it.
im shure the slipshaft wont like that flex also

so now, is it worth it!?

I wasn't just talking about the ttb... this includes a coil solid axle as well.... oh well airbags probably make more sense though i wont fool with those until the ttb is long gone
