Sluggish Cranking

Hey Guys,
Every once in a while I get a slow cranking but it does fire up. It acts just like a low battery. The Batt. has high cranking Amps,(I forget exactly what)and is less than one year old. It shows 12.8V at rest, 14V when running. I've reseated the power/starter cables, the ground and ome'd the ballist resistor. I've followed the Haynes manual pin-poke test's and everything looks fine. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Sluggish Cranking

Check all heavy gauge wires for corrosion (near batt/starter/relay) and make sure all connections are tight( sounds like you already have).

Then check ignition timing.

Re: Sluggish Cranking

Make sure you have lots of good size grounds going from the battery to the body, body to the engine, and frame to the body. These tend to get removed over time and they are important!
