Mounting Radius arms to a 86+ D60

well, i knew lots of you guys are wondering how it was going. its going slow as i have been working on other things as well.
First, on the rad arm mounts. i bought new wedges since i didnt feel like using my old screwed up ones..

FYI, the rad arm wedges have to be inboardeed 1/2-3/4" on each side do to the tube stops shorter, but i dont think it is a big deal.

the passanger side is easy. the driver side is some work.
first you need to grind the spring pad on the casting round
next you need to make your wedges fit
start grinding!
the problem pic

spring pads in the way, and the wedge is to wide
#1 fixed

the wedges are still to wide though
grind it!

i keopt checking it to see what part of the wedge wasnt fully seating and the high spot by smearing grease on the axle casting where the wedge will partially sit

the mark left on the wedge then
shows you where to grind more

how you want it to fit

total amount removed

use a solid d44 to compare it to to set the stuff right

the easy passanger side, you also had to remove the spring pad, and the plate the U bolts run through on this side.

how it fits on the driver side

the hose clamps make a kickass way to hold it while you set your caster. my catse risnt set yet, but ithink i can set it th best i can off that d44, then i can acually put it under the truck and bolt it on using just the hose clamps to hold them toghther, and then put my old coils in just to recheck it at ride height.

then the coils come out and get thrown away for my airbags.

James duff sells new ones for like $80 to my door.
jeffs graveyard wanted $45 for used ones that where rusted to hell and still attached to a d30 tube.

Re: Mounting Radius arms to a 86+ D60

oh, so nice

i figured out i need to order some 4* C bushings to make it work perfect with 5* camber. my 2's in it now arent enough, and my 7's where to much.
good driveline angle
once i get the bushings mounted up in there ill weld the wedges to the tube and then recheck it, and then ill rip the coil towers out and start to work on the bags

hey blown, will this be enough travel?
my limiting factor is going to be the trac bar and driveshaft
