Rear Anti-lock & Brake light?

I was on my way back from a short hill climb and when coming down the mountain my rear anti loc and park brake light came on. I stopped immediatly and checked brake fluid its ok and the brakes seem to work fine. I have since put about 400 miles on the truck and the lights have not ceased. Any suggestions or fixes? THanks

The same thing has happened to me but I haven't had time to look at it yet. I did look at the Haynes manual and it will give a procedure to test and find out what is needed to be done. Sorry I can't help more, but it will be a start for you.

Re: Rear Anti-lock & Brake light?

One quick check you can do, not sure this is your problem though. look at your master cylinder, is there a little electical sensor at the front of it? Is there dampness/fluid around it?

Also, your fusebox under the hood, check the fuse for your anti-lock. If that's blown, no antilock, and your light will stay lit. The fuse will have blown due to the short in the electrical circuit on that sensor.
