Mercedes parts on a bronco?

yep! lookinfurfun's bronco is going up in style! nothing like adding mercedes parts right?
i told him id get one off a volvo, but only one volvo had one that style, and of course afte ri got it out i took it to the truck and the electro clutch didnt work.

so i went back and tryed searching for another donor
found a 77 or 78 merceds 280 C or something and bingo, it had this. to bad it was held on by giant allen heads. of course i didnt have big enough metric ones with me and it was already raining, so i said screw it, i went and ripped out the radiator, the shroud, and fan.
managaed to get all 4 allen heads off with the big vice grips and the hammer shock treatment.
seems to pump good, and the clutch works.
FYI for everybody, merecedes has the yorks, even the good yorks!
its a 210, a good pump, and was built 12/81 so i guess it was a replacement....
odd thing is it was made about 2 hours from here. kinda odd

his bronco is definatly getting more snobish class aplied to it.

i paid $23.50 out the door, so PM me with our deal...
Zach

go to a yard and start poping hoods up on the euro imports and AMC cars, then check ford vans last.

Re: Mercedes parts on a bronco?

'85-87ish Audi 4k's had them as well. Just pulled one from one of my parts cars and installed on my buddy's Bronco. It was a 10 stroke as well, but left discharge IIRC (most Volvos are right discharge IME). It was also retained with large allen bolts, but some were countersunk, so no Vice Grips.
