trans to t-case info

I'am tring to find out a few things first does a stock 302 bellhouseing from a mustang t-5 work with a late 70's t-18 or np435. second will a np435 trans to t-case adapter work with a t-18. (all ford products) [img]images/graemlins/thud.gif[/img]

no on the housing and yes on the t-18 provided it is the 4wd t-18. The correct term for what you call an adapter is the tailshaft housing. It is not an adapter.

so what kind of bellhousing should i look for if i have a late 70's 302 and a t-18 trans. so when i go to the boneyard i can ease my search and can i use a np435 tailshaft housing on the t-18 to a np205 t-case and thanks for the info!!!!

Check the "Knowledge Base" at Novak (novakadapt.com) and the downloadable catalog from Advance Adapters. If you read them, they should answer all your 'will it fit' questions.

I still have my old bellhousing, but I need it for a little while longer. I'm going to try to use it to start the '96 5.8L. [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
