Re: carb poll

well i use the holley 4160 double pumper with electronic choke. it does 750 cfm and IMO it it easy to rebulid and fix which i have only done once. given that this is the only carb i have and i got it for $20. it has been there in off camber climbs and seemed to survive pertty high water which i hadnt planned on.

just my .02

Re: carb poll

I went from a holley to a carter to fuel injection. If I had not rolled the 84 I would have gotten a rodchester quadrajet. I'd seen them perform better on the trail in the same situations mine crapped out. I did not try holley's stuff for offroad. I did put the offroad kit in the carter. It helped, but still ran rich and crapped out on the steep or off camber stuff. If I had my 84 now I'd look into throttle body injection. Can't beat the price of the Rodchester though.
