Diesel Bronco

I am kind of curious, I had the crazy idea of stuffing a 460 diesel into my bronco. I personally am not really sure if it will work and well it should...in theory. So really if anybody here has pulled something this redneck before, or at least attempted to. please speak up of any problems you know of. Really I personally think it would be pretty bad, and well there is no deny I would live up to the motto "As bad a** as possible while as redneck as possible" but yeah anyone who has experience please speak up. Re: Diesel Bronco

I don't know if there is a 460 oil burner. They got me on the 7.3 litre last time. Pretty much if it will fit in a fullsize it can be adapted to fit and work. Keep in mind that the diesels are heavy and that does affect wheelability but it can all be compensated for IMO with the right amount of thought, sweat, and money. There is a Cummins Kit I was looking at that I thought was cool but I discarded it when I saw how much it would cost me to source one. Oil Burners are definately cool! Re: Diesel Bronco

you have something wrong with your engine size. a 460 is gas, a 7.3(444ish) is diesel.
you NEED a complete donor vehicle to make it work.(without going broke from buying new from ford...)
Fuel tank, radiater, glow plug contorrler, engine, trans, and more if it was a newer power stroke diesel. gonna have lots of little crap your gonna need from the donor truck.

Lots of posts here on the feasibility of a Diesel Bronco but have not seen one yet.
