Lately when my truck is in 4 wheel drive (which is alot) or the hubs are locked in when i turn my wheel theer is a popping noise. Could this be the U-joints going out?

Could be. Have you inspected them? How many miles are on them? They are pretty easy to replace, and don't cost much.

I have looked at them...they are pretty rusty. To my knowledge they have never been replaced so they have about 130,000 miles on them.
