79 400ci engine upgrades??

Sup guys. Me again. I was told by a guy in this forum that doing anything too extravagent to my F350 would be a waste of money, so what about my engine? It has roughly 140k miles on it, and still runs pretty good,. I am looking for moer torque and horses( but who isnt???) so, tell me what tyou guys think. It is pretty much all stock, until i begin the work on it, so please tell me what you guys think i should do to it.

I never said such a thing. I said it can be expensive building a 2WD into a 4WD. You have a great hauler which is great in it's own right. Your 400 can be brought to life with a slightly more agressive cam (You want to focus on torque, not high rpms like in a car) a new timing chain that you can index at 0 degrees. (I've heard the 400's are retarded at the timing chain 4 degrees stock). Those two things will put a little extra pep in your step.

when you start shearing off the wheel studs, that is how you know you have too much power... until that happens, beef the motor till the manifolds glow like a jack-o-lantern
