master cylinder on a 94 eb

my question is i could not get the truck in gear after i started it,i put my foot on the brake it would not move.i checked the brake fuse it was blown,i replaced it ,it blew again,i opened the hood and on the master cylinder it looks like a sender or something screwed in the top front of master cylinder with a plug on was very wet with oil or brake fluid,i unpluged it ,put a new fuse and so far it did not blow a fuse,does anybody now the name of thing on the master cylinder and can it be replaced

Yes, This exact event happened to me about 2 years ago...hold on a minute, I will go try and find my repair receipt to give you the part and cost....bre right back...

ok are blowing the "shift interlock" fuse...think that one is 15 amp. and the little round electrical thingy at the front of the master cylinder which is wet is your problem. It is the "brake pressure switch" looks like Ford part #F3TZ*9F924*B...looks like they charged me $18.25 for the part. That part number is for my '95 Bronco, but my guess is yours will be the exact same.
