Better than Christmas, 155# of parts just arrived!

Well the UPS man just delivered the D-44 third member with TrueTrac and 4.09 gears installed and another box with the parts for my rear end. Guess what I will be doing this weekend. Saturday, rip out my rear axle and throw in new bearings, gears and truetrac, shackle flip, u-joints and reinstall. Then Sunday I will rip out the front end, install a 4" lift, new u-joints different TTB with the D-44 Truetrac.

I hope I make it to work on Monday, then again maybe not

I got it pre-built from Randy's Ring and Pinion. It was a lot more expensive than just the parts but I figure that only building one end -Ford 8.8 assures me that I can make it home if the rear end grenades.

Heck if you lived closer I would give you a spare one that I picked up two weeks ago. Not really worth shipping as they are pretty heavy.

Re: Better than Christmas, 155# of parts just arri

Fully assembled and tested was about a grand. Plus another 200.00 for core. The parts ran about 645.00 and I just felt that one end or the other should be "factory". I have never put together a diff before so I was a little hesitant to do both ends myself.
