Another Bronco Gas Tank Question

Here it is. I have a 1988 full size 4x4 Bronco w/ a 302 EFI and I need to replace the gas tank. I noticed in another post that the 3 5/8" hole is for EFI and the 2" is for carburated. Is that true for 1988 Bronco's or is there a way to just reach on top of the tank to make sure? Also I am pretty sure that I have a 33 gallon so that is what I am going to get but should I get a Plastic or Steel? Even if I get a plastic I would like to get a good skid plate (something besides OEM) anyone have some ideas? Thanks

Re: Another Bronco Gas Tank Question

On my Superford site is a writeup/pics of a 3/16" skid I made, that goes over the stock skid. You can go either way with poly or steel, I prefer the steel. You should be able to see between the body and frame, up on top of the tank, and you should have a 32/33 gallon tank with the larger opening on top.
