Gas Tank Qustions for an 81 Bronco

Ok, here is the deal. I have what I would like to describe as a gushing waterfall coming from my gas tank. So after the gas leaks out of the tank and kills all the grass, I want to replace it with a new plastic one. My question's are as follows

1) Did the 81 Bronco's come with a 19 Gallon tank option?

2) If so, does the tank use a 2" hole?

I see a lot of stuff on the 25.5 and 33 gallon tanks and that they all use a skid plate. I do not have a skid plate on my bronco and I am sure that it is not a 25.5 or 33 gallon tank. With gas prices the way they are now there would be no way I could afford that tank of gas. So I am figuring that I have 19 gallon tank and would just like to verify this info before I order new parts. Thanks a lot.

Hmmm. Pick-ups had 19 gallon tanks, but I didn't think Bronco's came with them.
That's why you're seeing either 25.5 (standard) and 32 (optional) gallon tanks listed.
The 2in hole is for carbed engines. The 3-5/8" hole is for EFI. (in-tank pump)
JBG has plastic tanks available.
LMC also carries gas tanks.

You did search didn't you, and found this thread, and more importantly, this one, didn't you?

Get the 32 and a skid plate. Just because you HAVE it, doesn't mean you have to FILL it every time, but it's nice to know you CAN if you need to. What if you're going on a long trip and don't want to stop? What if that trip takes you through an area with exceptionally high gas prices? It'd be cheaper to fill up before you leave home and not have to buy gas there. What if you pass a station with gas at a super-low price? It'd be nice to buy as much as possible before the price goes back up. But on days when you can't afford to fill it, you can still only put 19 or 25 gal in. Bronco tanks should be 25 and 33 gallons.

When i replaced mine, the paperwork said 32. But then again, its not an OEM tank, so i suppose it could be different

Haynes and Ford say 32. I know some aftermarket tanks claim to be 33.
