Well, finally bought my c6 w/ NP transfer that i plan to swap in this summer with the 351. Gonna be a lot of work, and i think i'm ready for it, but just curious if anyone has done this swap. One thing i'm concerned about is how the linkage from the shifter on the column will line up with the c6. I can probably find the linkage from a junkyard if it needs to be changed. Already got the longer driveshaft also. If anyone has done this before, or has experience in this field, feel free to post. thanks.

Re: C6...finally

i'm guessing the linkage will be similar, if not the same, since the aod and c6 ran concurrently over several years. hopefully you'll get lucky there... what are you doing about the crossmember, does it look to be the same? also see if the cooling lines are in the same place, it's all those little things that make tranny swaps such a royal PITA! Re: C6...finally

Crossmember bolt holes will definitely need to be re-drilled, hopefully the height isn't a problem or I'll have to adjust. Cooling lines probly won't link up, so I'll either put some flex in there, or have them totally re-done.

I have linkage

I ripped the linkage and column shifter out of my 83 that had a C6 in it.

I installed a floor shifter. If you're interested in it, pay shipping and I'd be happy to hook you up.
