The great winch debate,

well, its done, i now own both kinds.

so, which winch would you guys put where?
info, i havea 10K warn, MX style winch on the front of the bronco, and now i have this 10K milemarker hydro winch.
so what rig would you put what on? Zuk, or bronco?
i think the broncos going to keep the electric due to its better charging sytem, as the zuks really couldnt be upgraded enough to keep a 10K winch supplyed with enough juice to not burn itself out. shure, the electric can self recover arollover, but the hydro will be so much more reliable, key to where the zuk is going.

the plan is to just ditch all the milemarker electric junk and just run a lever valve into the cab of the zuk to control it so the only thing that can go wrong is the hydraulic motor, pump, or lines. i wont have to relly on any electric junk.
do you guys think that is going to work well?

My head is still stuck on this one.
Oh you said WINCH with an I. My bad.

I think you have a good setup whichever way you go. A 10K hydro on the zuk is gonna kick ass!

Re: The great winch debate,

what happens when te zuk doesnt look liek a zuk anymore? Now wont that take two people to operate that winch, one to hold down the lever and the other to walk it out, or does it have a catch to hold so you can walk it out? Second how fast will it unspool?

Re: The great winch debate,

yes, 2 people are required to use it, but thats no big deal for me. it is slow out and in when its powered, but it does have freespol, so it goes out as fast as you can pull it and not fall on your ass. The in speed varies with the rpm accordingly.
