won\'t engage 4lo?!

I tried to put my truck in 4lo the other day and it shifted into 4hi the just wouldn't budge into neutral or 4lo. It has worked fine every other time I've used it. Any suggestions?

BTW it's a borg warner 1356

Have you checked the linkage?
Do you have it in neutral when trying to shift to 4lo?

Re: won\'t engage 4lo?!

I have it in neutral/park/drive, tried to go forward/backward to unbind anything to shift it, and just doesn't go into neutral/4lo, no grinding or anything. I'll check the linkage tomarro. Last time I used 4wd, I only used 4hi for some mud boggin.

Re: won\'t engage 4lo?!

I fixed it! I tried to put it in 4lo again, wouldn't budge. I went underneath and had my bro try while I looked at the linkage. It was caked with mud so I was goin to wash it off and see if that would work. Tried it again and gave it a good tug and it went striaght into 4lo! Then I washed the T-case off and I'll grease up the linkage later.
