Re: norm closeup of your tire carrier mount

NP man. I'll get to it tomorow or the next day. I might be looking at houses tomorow so I'll get to it if I can. Mine is an extremely simple setup. pretty much it's just 2" Outer Diameter (OD) solid stock with a 2" ID pipe telescoping it. I cut off 2: 1/4" sections for the caps with a 3" section in the middle on which the tire carrier is mounted on. I telescoped the 3" section onto the 2" OD stock in the middle and then welded the caps onto the ends of the 2" OD stock. To attach my hinge I spaced it from the bumper aproximately 1/8" and welded a 1/4" plate to the top and bottom of it. The whole package looks and works good although it doesn't rotate as well as an assy with bearings would (That would probably be alot harder to put together the way I have it hung to the bumper) But it's strong as hell and its not coming apart any time soon. I drilled a hole for lubrcation before welding it all together too. I put a gear oil cap on my motor oil container and squirted some in there and it's been pretty smooth since.
