frame different ????

ok so I bought this hitch from expressdistributing.com and thought for sure it would fit but when I fit it up to the truck the back half of the hitch slopes down away from the frame of the bronco does it do this on the truck or am I supposed to just bolt it up this way. I am confused I thought the bronco and truck frames were the same and the arnt

Here is a pic of the new and old hitch notice teh slant to the back causing asever gape between the hitch and frame at the rear.....any thoughts is this how it was designed some one help I dont want to have to put the old one back on

to compensate for a lift? ive seen droped hitches like this b 4, you can get a arm that the ball bolts too droped as well

This is that special body lift hitch, right?
To be honest, i have no idea why it would be shaped like that, other than the possibility that they shipped you the wrong one [img]images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img]

I think they sent you the wrong one. The frame isn't shaped like that. I can see you have the right model # inked on it, but I still think they goofed. Send them the link to that pic and ask if that's the right one. If they say it is, send it back & demand a full refund since it obviously won't fit.

I agree and thats what my plan was but on the web sight they say it is for a 80 to 96 ford pickup and not a bronco and before I get stuipid on someone I wanted to make sure the frames were the same.
hey kevin that is that specialty hitch you gave me the link too I guess you havnt already bought one.

Nah, i was gonna get one, but id rather drag the hitch than the gas tank. Maybe after i make new bumpers and a tank skid ill look into it

The pickup frame doesn't slope down, either. Maybe the later (current) ones do.
