a PTO hydro pump is one way to go, but you could also just get a normal PTO output box and run a shaft to the front of the truck. Hopefully there is a straight shot to your front bumper, otherwise you'd need carrier bearings and several shafts, and a hydraulic pump would certainly be easier to rig up than that. Those PTO boxes are usually fairly cheap on eBay, but you have to know exactly what gear mesh and bolt pattern (8 or 6) the ZF uses in order to get the correct box. Does the ZF have covers on both sides? That would open up your options... take a peek under a FORD tow truck and see how they rig it up.
