Re: performance problems

Ok I have a few questions so we can all help you out. what kind of cam are you running, was it a stock rebuild, how long ago was it rebuilt, is the lack of pwr a new problem or has it been this way since the new motor

Re: performance problems

It is a ford factory rebuilt. It has 30,000 miles on it. I think that it has a 4,800 cam in it. and it has allways lack preformance.
Thank you

Re: performance problems

Well 13 deg seems a little high to me but I run a carbed 80 302 and I think it is supposed to be 8 degs I ma sure yours is different, changing gears could help but I am not sure that is what your problem is I fell the same way my 302 is a little weak so I amn rebuilding a 351w for it that oght t fix my lack of pwr problems. but for real I am sure their will be other that have some better advice for you. If you have access to stock tires and rims for real cheap(free)then I would put them on and judge your pwr thoughts
