tranny

anyone know anything about the np435 according to this article tranny info I have a np435 with the 6.69 first gear ratio. I went out and checked to see if I had the aluminum cover and the pto access cover on the passenger side and I do the t-18 has pto access cover on drivers side and a cast iron top. So I now know that I have the np435 the new question is can I still mount this up with out any further modification when I put in the 351w. Napa has the parts listed for a np435 in an 85 bronco with a 351w so would I buy the parts (ie clutch and pressure plate flywheel)for the 85 or 86 motor or for the 80 tranny. I am thinking I buy for the motor but I want to be sure.

thanks guys hopefully I will have the donor truck tonight if everything goes well

Re: tranny

It shouldn't matter. As long as the flywheel matches the engine and you can buy a starter to fit it & the bellhousing, all you need is a clutch that fits the trans input and a pressure plate that matches the flywheel. You shouldn't have any trouble. Just get the throwout bearing that matches your clutch linkage (mechanical or hydraulic).
