t18 tranny

will the t18a tranny mount up to a 351 out of a bronco I hate give up that 6.32 first gear ratio but would love to go to a 351 for the extra power during towing

Re: t18 tranny

I think I found out my answer in another post.the t-18 will mount up to the 351w theadvanced adapter site said that the 289 , 302 and 351 windsor all had the same block bolt pattern so that should mean I can directly mount it up with no adapter right... come on I know some on out there knows this info

Re: t18 tranny

no, motor mounts should bolt right up, but does your clutch linkage bolt to the engine at any point? i've seen some chebbie's that have that, so you'd need to make sure your donor engine has a place for it. you'll also need the clutch disc flywheel if the donor engine was on an auto, but whether the one you have will bolt to the 351, i dont know. (there are probably balancing issues there)
