run dont run......

Well i have tries every thing that i can think off can anyone else help or have ideas? this is the situation The truck still when you turn on the key you will hear the pump go on but it just turns over then if you wait it will give the pump sounds again (could be 10 sec or 10 min) then it will start. You could be driving and it will just die and you will have to wait till you hear the pump go on again and it will run again. could run for days no problems then all of a sudden problems every time you go to drive it. I have changed the pump. I have changed the relays. I have checked the inertia switch. I have had the throttle body cleaned and the filter changed. I am out of ideas. I am open to anything else someone might think it is. Oh and the other day it dies but started right back up and then it dies with in a few seconds (about 30) then the engine light came on and stayed on for about 4 or 5 hours then turned itself off. Not sure that makes a difference. First time the light has gone on though since this started happening.probable jsut a a o2 gone bad and cleaned itself up... So i am open to anything people might think it is. Help Please i do not want to take it in.... oh it is a 96 5.8 bronco

yep, it does! why? because if the light came on, it also stored error codes in your computer's memory, so pull them and it'll probably tell you exactly why it doesnt like to run sometimes
