I have an 89 Bronco 351w efi c6 I'm looking to put a E4od trans in it. I was wondering if any one could tell me where i might be able to find a stand alone computer for it?

Re: Trans

If you're lookin at that tranny for the overdrive and your not a purist then I know that Advanced adapters makes an adapter to fit Ford Motors up to a TH700R Tranny. I've heard that they are plenty strong, have a lower than average first gear, and an overdrive! Damn I'm gonna get flamed again. Re: 700R?

First: a 700r4 is probably not any stronger than an AOD... ask the Chebby forum. i put one in my bro's Blazer and the thing must've weighed 15-20 lbs... good for a Civic maybe

Second: Norm, are you intentionally trying to get this guy killed? I've heard tell that if you put a Chevy part on a FORD, it will immediately try to reject the part by running itself into a tree at highway speeds I dont know if I buy that or not, but I think i'd rather be safe than sorry! Keep it FORD and keep it truckin!

Re: Trans

Hey you'll be thanking me when the World turns into a Mad Max movie! lol. I just like to throw some alternatives out there. I honestly don't know much about trannys but I know that Ford builds all of there motors with Forged internals and Chevy's are cast. That's why you've never heard of Ford Pink rods ect. Because the stock equipment was already up to the task. Now... We just need to convince Ford to build 4 bolt mains.
