Ball Joint Replacement

I know there have been posts on this before but I was wondering if someone could post me in the direction of a good write up on the subject. (This will be my first ball joint replacement ) I think I'm settled on using the Ingals adjustable camber/caster bushing and Moog HD ball joints. is there any good at home alignment write ups as well? I may as well learn all I can. Thanx NORM

Re: Ball Joint Replacement

I remember WD40 had a great writeup on the home alignment but for some reason the thread that I had saved is missing from my list. As a matter of fact several are missing. Does anybody know why that would happen. When I look through my list of saved threads there are some "patches" in the list that are missing....weird

Re: Ball Joint Replacement

Norm, here's a tip. they come out pretty easily with the big C-clamp tool... if they arent coming out easily, you're pushing the wrong direction... trust me

Re: Ball Joint Replacement

nah, shop press will work beautifully, but the same rule applies... if you're putting 20 tons of pressure on it and it aint budging, you're going the wrong direction, even if it looks like that's the way it should come out
